Pour water into the tank, add grounds in the basket or a capsule in its adapter, then press the button. Hold it for 2 seconds and Origin heats cold water, then brews. Double-press it and Origin brews right away with water that is already hot.

Origin heats the water to 92°C (about 198°F) before it brews.

About 50 ml for a single shot and 70 ml for a double. The tank holds up to 100 ml, so never fill past the MAX line.

The pump peaks at 19 bar and holds 9–12 bar while the shot pours. That is real espresso pressure, which is what gives you a layer of crema.

Run one brew of clean water, then rinse the basket, adapter and cup. Never put the body under running water.

Pack it in your carry-on, not checked luggage, because it has a lithium battery. The battery is 28.08 Wh, below the 100 Wh limit most airlines set. Empty the tank first and check your airline's rules before you fly.
